Paneer & Halloumi cheesemaking workshop

What did the cheese say to herself in the mirror? Halloumi! 

Dutch-Welsh family cheese makers Lydia and Robert Savage-Onstwedder will be accompanied by their Hungarian cheese maker-in-residence Szabolcs Elek to show Shambolites how to make paneer and halloumi.

Lydia and Robert’s family came to South West Wales in 1982 and set up Caws Teifi Cheese – who are now an award-winning raw cheese company, reviving the lost tradition of using raw milk for artisan cheese making.

MC-ing the event will be Nessie Reid, founder of The Milking Parlour: a 3 year research project exploring food and farming in the UK, via immersive, performance art with cows and milk.
