A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK OF WHAT’S LOCKED IN FOR EDITION EIGHT

The Starry team are beavering away on the content line up for Edition Eight, but wanted to share a little sprinkling of what they’ve got locked in already…

MUSIC BOOKING #1 is out of this world. Earthlings, prepare yourselves for HENGE!

Keep your eyes on those starry, starry Kentchurch skies, because an alien landing is on the cards! Fear not, these extra terrestrial joy-mongers come in peace! HENGE have travelled to Planet Earth from the far corners of the Galaxy to bring a kind of music new to our world. Their music escapes definition, but occupies a space between rave and prog rock that nobody knew existed.

HENGE have been delighting audiences across the continent since they landed on Planet Earth seven years ago, with two acclaimed albums, numerous tours and regular main-stage festival appearances under their sparkly space belts. We love them. You’re going to love them. We’ve never met a kid who didn’t love them. They’re going to love you. It’s going to be a huge intergalactic love in.

FAMILY TIME – THE FANCY DRESS DISCO THEME: BIRDS OF A FEATHER!

The annual Starry Skies fancy dress disco is the stuff of legend – we’ve seen the Ugly Bug Balls, Fairytale Creatures and a Night Sky Knees Up, to name just a few – and we never fail to be blown away by the creativity and crafting skills!

For 2023, the dress up theme is Birds of a Feather – and we can’t wait to see you all flocking towards the dance floor in their best feathered finery! Think parrots, flamingos, swan lake ballerinas, thoroughly good eggs, cosy nests, waddling penguins, soaring eagles and the rest!

PLAY – AHOY, ME HEARTIES! SUPER PIRATES ARE SETTING SAIL FOR STARRY SKIES!

A beloved mainstay of Shambala Festival, this rag tag crew of pirate play professionals will be dropping their anchor at Starry Skies, creating a bouncing, hopping, balancing bonanza!

Experienced and passionate about inspiring kids to be awesome, no child leaves a Super Pirates play session without feeling like a boss!  They lead mad games, discos, chase and get chased; in short – this lot are experts in controlled chaos!

NATURE – FOREST SCHOOL: GOING WILD IN THE WOODS!

Our trusty Forest School practictioners offer children the chance to develop their confidence, through hands on learning, deep in the beautiful Starry Skies woodland, teaming with flaura and fauna.

Sessions are split into age brackets, from the toddliest to the tallest, with activities tailored to each group, including old favourites such as clay animal making, mud painting, whittling, scavenger hunt, bows and arrows and cooking over an open fire.

COMMUNITY – OPENING CEREMONY & CAMPFIRE SINGALONGS

We’ll be welcoming you all to site on Thursday with an Opening Ceremony, to have a collective moment together before the mayhem begins – so you can meet your fellow campers and settle in.

Once the ceremony and performance draws to an end, we’ll be lighting the main campfire.

We’ll have heaps more content confirmed for you over the coming months (including opening bookings for glamping) so stay tuned on the Starry Skies website!

Let’s do this, campers – it’s been too long!

Big love,
