Cycle to Shambala

Shambala is encouraging people to cycle to the festival, by working with Sustrans to provide cycle route maps, a secure bike park (inside the event this year for peace of mind), a free programme on entry and discount on massages on Thursday and Friday (£33 for one hour and £17 for 30 minutes). If you would like to organise a group ride get in touch with us at [email protected]

Ride Start locations

Maps are downloadable here for: Birmingham (45 miles – 1 day), Sheffield (115 miles – 3 days), London (122 miles – 2 days), Manchester (124 miles – 3 days), and Bristol (142 miles – 3 days).

When you arrive, you can use our free secure bike park to store your bike over the event. It will be open to receive all the riders, and on Monday from 8am for collections. The park will be a secure area with 24-hour security, however please lock your bike up and don’t leave anything such as lights on your bike.

Packed lunch and water
Cycling kit (including spare inner tube, working bike and waterproof coat and trousers!)
Cycling helmet (keep safe!)
Tent and sleeping bag
Locks and lights
Outrageous fancy dress for Saturday night Carnival & revelry!
The return journey is your responsibility. You can book your bicycle on the train (you must do this in advance) or arrange a lift back with a friend. We offer free shuttle buses to the station (Market Harborough). You can also of course cycle back too!

For those travelling back to Bristol there will be space for 20 cyclists on the bus at £10 each. The bus will leave from the bus stop at 2pm on Monday 25th – please get there for 1:30pm so there is time to load everything on.
Email [email protected] to book your space.
