After selling out every sitting last year, The Surplus Supper Club returns once again! FareShare South West and their team of award winning chefs will serve delicious breakfasts, three course dinners, wine, fine cheeses and an unmissable Sunday roast. Is there anything more decadent then eating at a table with china, silverware and a nice glass of bubbly in a field with your wellies on?!
FareShare South West is charity that works with the food industry to collect surplus food and redistribute it to organisations that support vulnerable people in the community. Thousands of tonnes of perfectly good, in-date food gets wasted every year due to packaging errors, damaged barcodes and other superficial issues. At the same time, there’s over 4 million people in the UK who cannot afford a healthy diet, among them homeless and elderly people, children, refugees and people suffering mental & physical health problems.
FareShare South West believe that good food should fill bellies, not bins and this is what the Surplus Supper Club is all about; sharing great food, reducing waste and helping people in the local community.
