Radio Shambala Is Here

Radio Shambala

Radio Shambala is coming! The festival finally has its very own onsite radio station – bringing you the best of the festival in a veritable feast for your ears. We’ll be streaming live online across the festival site and to the world beyond the gates all weekend. With a crack team of reporters, a studio in a shipping container and a listening lounge, we’ll be capturing the sound of Shambala for posterity, in all of its joyful, rowdy, cacophonous glory.

Radio Shambala is YOUR radio station. We want your requests, your Shambala memories, your poems and rants, your band on stage and your vinyl gems. And, more than anything, we want your ears! Come down and listen to intimate live sessions from Shambala legends, interviews with the most eccentric people we can find, radio shows hosted by the teams behind the best of the festival’s stages, tents and areas and Shambala’s very own take on Desert Island Discs.

What would you do with the Shambala airwaves?

We’re giving six lucky Shambalans the chance to have their own radio show on Radio Shambala. Bring along your choice vinyl, your unpublishable epic poetry, your obscure film reviews, your skiffle band or your best Alan Partridge impression and we’ll provide the studio and an engineer to make you sound lovely. Previous radio experience not necessary – just tell us what you would love to do on the radio and we’ll do our best to get you on air!

To enter, please email radio(at)shambalafestival.org by Friday 17th August with a brief description of what you would do with half an hour of Shambala airtime and a little bit about you.
