Beginners DJ workshop for womxn, trans & non binary folks with TamTam (Equaliser)

Calling all womxn, trans and non binary humans! Have you always wanted to DJ? Are you sick of hearing mediocre tunes in the club when you know that you have the best booty bass in your music library? Now is your chance to get behind the decks!

TamTam believes the dance floor should be a reflection of the society we want to live in. But most of the time, it’s not. A frustration with cis* dominated parties motivated Tami to seek spaces that promote diversity, inclusivity and unity. Finding such spaces proved challenging, so they became a DJ (with a purpose). Tami helps empower and enhance the talent of those not fully represented in the electronic music scene. In Leeds they work for a community DJ school. They also run DJ workshops for cis women, trans and non-binary people which aims to develop technical skills and most importantly build their confidence to perform.

Only 15 places, so please arrive early/on time if you are keen! Bring a USB with some music on it (or just bring yourself). There will be an opportunity to demonstrate your new skills and play some tunes to open our Pxssy Juice party directly after the workshop!
