From the outset, the project was about collaboration with a wide selection of musicians and musical styles. Trips to Addis Ababa and collaborations with Ethiopian musicians influenced and shaped the enduring sound of Dub Colossus. <\/p>\n<p>Nick passed away in 2021 leaving an unfinished album. The completion of this album by collaborators is both a celebration and a continuation of Nick\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>Nick had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, and this live show celebrates the music, friendship, and love he inspired in each of the collaborators on the new album. The line-up features Dub Colossus stalwarts Ben Somers, Paul Chivers (aka Ramjac), and Toby Mills. Original vocalist Sintayehu \u2018Mimi\u2019 Zenebe returns, keeping Nick\u2019s passion for Ethiopian music alive throughout the tracks, now joined by newcomer Holly Holden.<\/p>\n<p>The band invite you to come and join in this celebration of music and togetherness \u2014 a journey through myriad influences where Ethio-jazz meets the thrumming basslines of dub.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dub Colossus was the vision of producer and musician Nick Page, aka Dubulah.
