We are incredibly excited to share a very special international collaboration landing in the fields this year. Shambala joined forces with Uzbekistan\u2019s groundbreaking Stihia Festival and EarthSonic (In Place of War\u2019s flagship climate programme) to bring you \u2018Two Seas\u2019 \u2013 an ambitious project using electronic music to tell the stories of two of the world\u2019s most dramatic environmental transformations. A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the support of the British Council, this project brings together artists from the UK, Uzbekistan and Finland to create original music using real-world field recordings captured from two climate-threatened landscapes: the melting ice of Finland\u2019s Bothnian Bay and the dried seabed of Uzbekistan\u2019s Aral Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the absolute heart of this project is the acclaimed UK electronic duo Paranoid London. They journeyed to both Finland and Uzbekistan to record the changing soundscapes of these fragile environments, collaborating with local artists and communities along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience \u2018Two Seas\u2019 Live at Shambala<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This epic project will culminate in this headline live set from Paranoid London. Expect hard-hitting electronic rhythms seamlessly blended with natural field recordings and mind-bending immersive visuals, crafted by none other than Matt Black (Coldcut\/Ninja Tune) and Ben Sheppee (The Observatory).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Few acts have had such a profound impact on the evolution of club culture, but Paranoid London is undoubtedly one of them. When they burst onto the scene over a decade ago, their raw, unfiltered sound was so fresh it sparked a wave of imitators. Their live performances, too, revolutionized the scene, inspiring a shift toward more dynamic, immersive experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From headlining legendary festivals like Glastonbury (SilverHayes, Block9, & Shangri-La), Sonar, Dekmantel, and Movement Detroit, to gracing iconic clubs like Fabric, Panorama Bar, Lux Fragil (Lisbon), and Pacha (Ibiza), Paranoid London has taken their electrifying sound to every corner of the globe.
