Housing, food, transport, energy, health, poverty, and inequality are all deeply connected \u2014 and any meaningful response to the climate crisis has to begin there.<\/p>\n<p>This participatory talk explores what community-led climate action can look like in real life, especially in areas facing deprivation and systemic inequality. Drawing on lived experience and grassroots organising, we\u2019ll explore how trust-building, local leadership, and collective action can create change that is not only sustainable, but fair.<\/p>\n<p>Together we\u2019ll reflect on:<\/p>\n<p>Why climate justice and social justice cannot be separated<br \/>\nWhat happens when communities shape solutions for themselves<br \/>\nHow ordinary people can influence systems and power structures<br \/>\nWhat it means to create change that people can actually participate in<\/p>\n<p>This is a conversational and reflective session rather than a lecture \u2014 a space for honest discussion about how we move towards futures that care for both people and planet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Climate action doesn\u2019t happen in isolation from the rest of life.
