Founded in the UK, Akol\u00e1 Tamb\u00f3 celebrates the ancestral rhythms and songs of Afro-Colombian bullerengue, a genre rooted in the coastal communities of Colombia\u2019s Caribbean region.<\/p>\n<p>The group\u2019s mission is to promote bullerengue in the UK and Europe, increasing its visibility and appreciation. Through performances and educational programmes, Akol\u00e1 Tamb\u00f3 shares the joy, healing, and cultural significance of this tradition while amplifying the voices of maestras and maestros from Colombia\u2019s Caribbean coast.
