Calliope are an experimental, multi-instrumental folk trio that take their inspiration from folk traditions of the black diasporic transatlantic world, blending trad tunes, ancestral musical traditions and cosmic modernity. They bring you an enchanted collage of original songs, inventive resettings of traditional material, and epic myth-making all the while accompanied by a woven tapestry of sound featuring a whole host of instruments such as accordion, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, percussion and guitar.

Calliope is made up of Femi Oriogun-Williams, Bianca Wilson and Ray Aggs who met at a song circle in London in 2024 and since then have had a residency at Cecil Sharp House, scored music for a dance production by Yewande 103 and performed at Fat Out, Neo Ancients and Supersonic to name a few.
