Shambala’s very own Ru Robinson is a much loved Bristol-based DJ and curator renowned for delivering eclectic, high-energy global grooves. Serving up sets with signature infectious joy, his extensive collection spans the tropical rhythms of Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean seamlessly mixing Afrobeat, cumbia, amapiano, and dancehall. A major force in the UK festival scene, Ru has been moving dancefloors at Glastonbury and Shambala for over a decade, with international highlights including Uganda’s Nyege Nyege Festival. Locally, he is a beloved resident and programmer at Bristol institution The Jam Jar, regularly igniting dancefloors across the city. big thanks also go out to Ru for his support this year in developing the program for our stage!
