Thunda Banton is a multi-genre MC, DJ, and recording artists whose journey began in 1989 and remains deeply rooted in Reggae Sound System culture to this day. He transitioned to the Jungle scene in 1996, quickly becoming a pivotal figure in Jungle & D&B. His 2000 UKG hit ‘Ruff Tuff N Ready’ cemented his status as a foundational voice and remains an enduring anthem for any raver who knows what’s good for ’em.
As a recording artist, Thunda Banton has amassed a vast catalogue, spanning multiple genres.
He is also a veteran radio personality, with over 30 years on air, including a 16 year residency on Kool fm.
