Suma Phayiri is a Colombian vinyl selector and co-founder of N.E.A Records CIC, a London-based collective building bridges between Afro-Latin diasporic culture and UK sound system spaces. His sets are rooted in the legacy of Colombian and Caribbean Picó culture — where towering homemade sound systems carry Champeta, Dub, Reggae and percussive tropical rhythms deep into the night.

For Back A Yard, Suma will present a vinyl-led journey alongside DJ/MC Lilophilia, an Afro-Latina queer artist whose voice and presence bring raw dancehall energy and diasporic pride to the dancefloor.

Expect Cumbia Dub, Reggae, Champeta, Bashment, AfroLatin folktronic downtempo and heavy percussion-driven selections designed for deep bass systems. This is not just a set — it’s a celebration of Caribbean resistance, migration stories and collective movement.

Together they represent a living dialogue between Colombia, the wider Caribbean and London’s underground — flying the flags high for Black, Indigenous, Hispanic and queer communities through sound system culture.
