Akabu Queens are widely recognised as the world’s first all-female reggae band. Formed in London in 1981 under the original name African Woman, the group pioneered female representation in reggae and roots music, building a legacy that now spans more than four decades.

Today, Akabu Queens continue performing internationally while mentoring and inspiring new generations of reggae artists. Their music blends conscious roots reggae with messages of empowerment, unity and social awareness. Recent performances have included appearances at festivals and venues across the UK and Europe

After an immense show last year, we had no choice but to bring them back!
