From Sibín to Shebeen,

Sibín Beag has always drawn inspiration from the legendary Irish Sibín as well as the vibrant African and Jamaican Shebeen so having Back A Yard come do a take over and turn the space into a Shebeen is such moment for us.
Back A Yard take over Sibín Beag and carry it somewhere new, from an Irish drinking den to the basement blues dances of Caribbean Britain, where ska, rocksteady and lovers rock found a home when the doors of the mainstream stayed shut.
The Sibín and the Shebeen were both born from the same thing: communities making their own space, their own music, their own welcome, when nowhere else would.
