Dreadsquad is one of the most recognised Polish production and sound system projects, consistently
developing its own musical language for 25 years, rooted in Jamaican sound system culture and modern
bass music. The project put Poland on the map of creators of danceable riddims with heavy, deep bass and
a global reach.
Founded in 2001, Dreadsquad operates at the intersection of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Ska, and
Rocksteady, blending classic Jamaican influences with modern styles such as Jungle and Dubstep. Based
in Łódź, Superfly Studio has become over the years a hub for sound that is recognizable far beyond
Poland’s borders.
A quarter-century of activity includes hundreds of releases and countless projects: mixtapes, remixes,
mashups, producer albums, and collaborations that have become part of the history of Polish reggae, hip-
hop, and bass music. After hundreds of performances in Poland, European tours followed, and
subsequently appearances worldwide — in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Brazil,
India, and Japan.
