Jonesy Wales is a DJ, Producer and MC with over a decade of experience that includes regular appearances at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambala and Womad, as well as St Paul’s and Notting Hill Carnivals. Trips abroad have seen him DJ across Sri Lanka including Colombo’s exclusive Love Bar and Elec. He is a familiar face at many legendary Bristol and London venues, the founder of Lifted Bristol and resident and co-promoter of Ruffnek Diskotek and Terrain.
Jonesy’s signature sounds draws on Amapiano, Dancehall, UK Funky and Soca, with his productions featuring on radio stations across the UK, including BBC 1Xtra and Ujima Radio. He was brought up on reggae music and soundsystem culture, which has influenced both his music and MCing, which sees him utilise the microphone to bring the energy, engage the audience and celebrate roots of the music.
