MiXXlab is a future-facing DJ collective born out of The Lab in Northampton in partnership with Madame Electrifie, with support from Arts Council England. What started as a course for nine women to learn the art of DJing has exploded into a powerhouse of talent pushing against gender imbalance in the local scene.
Rooted in community, driven by basslines and built on sisterhood, MiXXlab represents a new wave of selectors with diverse sounds, styles and stories. From underground parties to festival takeovers at Stowaway and Shambala, they’re already shaking up dancefloors across the region – and they’re only just getting started.
