Working with producer, Lieu, the pair have built a synergy together that allows them to move as one. “Sleeps will tell me he needs a beat that sounds sticky, but tight. Somehow I know exactly what he means” states Lieu. Be it soul samples paired with live drum loops, ran through a tape recorder and back again for extra crunch, or hi hat triplets, 808s & stretched samples akin to Tommy Wright III or 10 Wanted Men, Lieu always comes through with the right sound, vibe and energy for what Sleeps is trying to put across.
