It’s been a couple of years since we introduced Flamboyant Friday – our Friday colour theme – and you lot have fully embraced dressing in bright, beautiful unison, so we’re back for another round.

The premise is super simple – you vote for a colour, and theme your entire Friday outfits around it. In 2025, you NAILED the brief, becoming one with the fields and turning the whole site into a lush garden of green.  

The legendary efforts you make for our annual Saturday carnival are a JOY to behold, but we appreciate not everyone is able to spend 40 odd hours getting weird with a glue gun. Flamboyant Friday, on the other hand, is designed to be simple and accessible to everyone – and we encourage you to borrow ‘fits from your friends or head to charity shops to stock up on colourful second hand garms.

So, time to vote for the hue you’ll be dressed head to toe in on Friday at Shambala 2026…

YELLOW!

No matter the weather, you will BE THE SUNSHINE! Think canary, lemon, gold and custard – from the bright, bold and buttery to mellow hues and shades spicy as mustard.

PURPLE!

The colour of Prince, Jimi Hendrix and possibly your dear old nan. From pale lavenders and lilacs to deep plums, violets, and magentas – go regal or psychedelic, or channel your inner Barney the Dinosaur.

You’ve got until midnight on Tuesday 3rd February to vote and we’ll announce your winner on Wednesday 4th.
