Tackling the environmental impacts of our festival is a top priority, and we’re so proud to share the incredible work that we helped to support in 2025.
We know that the carbon emissions created by travel to events are often the greatest environmental impact, as they contribute to climate change and air pollution. We partner with onboard:earth to find ways to reduce travel impacts and to offset unavoidable emissions.
This year, donations have been channelled to four brilliant projects to help protect and restore ecosystems in the UK and across the world, and to support a just transition by funding communities who are most affected by climate change:
- Funding clean cookstove projects in West Africa to cut CO2 emissions, prevent deforestation, and empower local women.
- Supporting projects that store and sequester vast quantities of carbon by protecting threatened rainforest and preserving biodiversity by safeguarding vital wildlife corridors.
- Restoring marine seagrass ecosystems on the UK coastline; supporting food security through fish production, enhancing water quality, protecting coastlines from erosion, and storing and sequestering carbon.
- Funding community-led tree planting and sustainable agriculture in Northern Malawi, creating sustainable livelihoods through reforestation.
A huge thank you to everyone who chooses to travel in a low impact way and contributes to environmental restoration through our partnership with onboard:earth.
Next year we are working with onboard:earth to help them reach their goal of raising £1 million for people and the planet. If you’d like to get involved, check out their travel carbon calculator and donate at www.onboard.earth.
Big love x
