Shambala will provide a free PA ticket and up to two free vehicle passes for those who:

  • Receive Middle or Higher Rate DLA
  • Receive Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Receive Attendance Allowance
  • Have a Nimbus Access Card
  • Have a recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
  • Have a certificate of visual impairment
  • Are registered as d/Deaf

If you come by coach, your PA will also get a free coach ticket.

Under 18s are not entitled to a free PA Ticket unless the child has very complex needs and the family has to bring an extra adult whose attendance is only to fulfil the role of a necessary additional / paid carer. Please be aware that we do not classify parents as second carers. This ticket is offered to mitigate the extra costs that bringing an additional carer may place on a family. Please contact accessibility@shambalafestival.org to discuss eligibility.

Your Nimbus Access Card needs to have a plus one symbol for a PA ticket, second vehicle pass or PA coach pass.

This ticket can be claimed by filling in the Accessibility Application FormProof of entitlement must be emailed to accessibility@shambalafestival.org. Your application will not be considered complete unless you have done both steps of the process.

If you apply for a car pass, it will only be able to drive onto the ACA in order to unload and then park in the nearby Accessible Car Park if the disabled person is travelling in the car. All other cars will not be allowed entry onto site and will need to park in the general car park.

If you meet the above criteria for free tickets there is no need to purchase a PA or vehicle pass in advance. Please apply for your free passes via our Accessibility Application Form once you have bought your entry ticket.

Eligibility for a PA ticket does not entitle purchasers to a space in the Accessible Camping Area (ACA) and associated vehicle parks. ACA tickets and spaces, like all tickets, are subject to availability. The ACA is provided for those with mobility and/or other specific needs. Spaces are limited, are issued on needs-based assessment and on a first come first served basis.
