Sweat the System is a ritual. For centuries, cultures around the world have used collective movement and music to build resilience, joy, and righteous rage – this workshop carries that legacy into a festival setting.
Being alive right now can be heavy. If you’re organising for change or navigating daily oppression, your body holds more than most people can see.
Dance and music have always been sites of resistance – places to gather, belong, feel, and transform – yet many of us have lost touch with these practices.
This workshop invites us to move what we’re carrying together, using music to reconnect with movement as resistance, connection, and collective force. Held by a collective of DJs, activists, dancers, and community organisers, we’ll move through grief and rage into joy, catharsis, and unapologetic liberation.
Conceived and lead by Rhiannon Colvin (RhiPlay), Sandhya Dave, Deepraj Singh & Somin Griffin-Dave (Somatic).
