We’re feeling incredibly grateful this week after being recognised with four major industry awards!

On Tuesday 2nd December, the team headed to Manchester for the UK Festival Awards, where we were over the moon to bring home an amazing (if we do say so ourselves) hat trick of titles:

  • Independent Festival of the Year – celebrating 25 years of total independence and creative freedom with zero corporate sponsorship.
  • Medium Festival of the Year – recognising the scale and diversity of Shambala, with over 35 venues, hundreds of performances and participatory activities – not to mention 14,000 of you lot joining us for a sold out weekend!
  • The Sarah Nulty Community Impact Award – recognising our Pay It Forward scheme, NOSH Community Café, and partnership with The Leaving Care Service.

Massive shout out to every single one of you who voted for us in our shortlisted categories!

And just days later, we were also named Best Independent Festival at the Access All Areas Awards.

Shambala has proudly been flying the flag for independence for a quarter of a century now, so to receive this level of recognition is a wonderful way to round off our 25th year.

Let’s do it all again, shall we?

Huge love to our crew, artists and Shambalans everywhere.

Here’s to the next 25 years! x
