Stormy J is a Bristol-based DJ and broadcaster known for her era-fusing, time-warping sets. Her sound is shaped by her Caribbean heritage and a family legacy rooted in carnival culture, combined with the raw energy of British underground dance music. Growing up in Southend, Stormy J first cut her teeth on local dance stations in Essex before making her mark on the London airwaves.

Now, she’s pioneering a bold new sound: jab house—a high-octane sub-genre of electronic dance music which is characterised by the fusion of jab jab culture, rave culture, house music and gutter soca music. With its driving 160 BPM tempo, four-on-the-floor beat, conch shells, horns, biscuit tins, and a spirit of extreme freedom, jab-house is designed to move bodies and liberate minds.

Stormy J, Jonesy Wales and Atki2 join forces on Friday night for a special three hour takeover of the yard booth, expect a blistering selection of soca, jab house, amapiano, and more.
