BY TRAIN
As you may already know, because we bang on about it enough, over 90% of our remaining carbon footprint is made up of audience travel, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to hammer that down…
In 2022, you lot set a new record for arriving on public transport, with nearly a third of you rocking up on one of our coaches, by bicycle or by train and shuttle bus, saving carbon and also saving cash, as our coach and cycle packages are priced £20 cheaper than regular entry tickets. Huge big ups to every single one of you who chose to travel to Shambala sustainably.
We’re keen to get even more of you ditching your cars, so in 2023, there’s a new kid on the sustainable travel package block. If you choo-choo-choose (sorry) to come by train, bag yourself a Rail Traveller package for £20 less than general entry tickets, travel by rail to either Market Harborough station or Long Buckby station, where our shuttle buses will take you to site.
SHUTTLE BUS
This year there will be Shuttle Buses from both Market Harborough and Long Buckby train stations, huzzah! They will run roughly 11am – 9pm on Thursday and Friday. The Shuttles can drop you back throughout the day on Sunday, and on Monday morning 8am – 1pm. There will be additional, but less frequent shuttles throughout the festival should you need suppliers from local shops. Shuttle buses are likely to be about £5. More information coming soon! But hopefully….this is enticing enough to encourage you to book some train travel to Shambala! We got your backs.
