Shambala

Look who just joined the Shambala 2025 line up…

Now then! 32 new, wicked artists just joined the likes of Digable Planets, Fat Dog, Hak Baker, Asian Dub Foundation,  Thumpasaurus & My Baby on our 2025 line up.

This is shaping up to be the 25th anniversary bash – book here, while you still can, and we’ll see you in August, to celebrate a quarter century of a the most fiercely independent, radically sustainable and seriously silly party in a field.

Here are just a few of our brand new additions – with heaps (as in hundreds..) more to be added over the next month or so.

  • DJ YODA: Multi-award-winning hip-hop DJ and producer, needs no introduction!

  • FREESTYLERS V DUB PISTOLS: Prolific, party-starting stalwarts of the scene go head to head.

  • GRACE PETRIE: Protest singer for the modern era, forged in the political fires of a generation of Tory rule.

  • NUBIYAN TWIST SOUNDSYSTEM: 3 piece show feat Tom Excell on electronics, guitar, and percussion / vocalist Aziza Jaye / Nubiyan Twist horns.

  • THE BUSY TWIST FT BURLAND & ZONGO ABONGO: A truly unmissable Roots Corner special, from these leading lights of the new global dance underground.

  • SORVINA: New York-born, Berlin-based Hip Hop artist with an infectious love for storytelling.

  • OH MY GOD! IT’S THE CHURCH (DJ SET): Praise Sexy Jesus! Shambala faves return, to save your filthy souls.

  • NEW YORK BRASS BAND: Yorkshire’s finest New Orlean’s style brass band, on  percussion, sax, trumpets, trombones and sousaphone. Find ’em dancing on the tables or conga-ing under the stars.
  • SKINT KNEES: Phenomenal 4-piece Riot Grrrl rock band, hailing from Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
  • DARAA TRIBES: Moroccan desert music group – each of its members is from a different tribe and brings different musical traditions with them.

Dig into the full line up (so far), right here.

(…and a non-musical gem we just had to mention here – what an honour it is to be welcoming the legendary poet and playright, Lemn Sissay OBE to Shambala’s Phantom Laundry this year – stay tuned for the full poetry and spoken word line up, dropping soon)
