Car sharing is a great way to take climate action. In 2024, our footprint from Audience, Crew and Artist travel was nearly 500 tonnes of CO2e, which equates to over 50% of the festival’s impact!

Existing Liftshare users

Here’s how it works for new users:

  • Click ‘Get Started’.
  • Sign up and verify your email, or log in if you already have an account.
  • Add your journey: search for “Shambala” or “Shambala Festival” as your destination and set your travel dates (scroll right to the bottom if we don’t immediately appear).
  • IF YOU CAN’T FIND SHAMBALA FESTIVAL – please add “Kelmarsh Hall” instead. This will be included in search results of others.
  • Keep an eye on your Liftshare messages or emails for replies from other festival-goers.

How long does it take to drive?

Here are some distances, to help you gauge your journey:

  • From Birmingham it is only 45 miles and takes a ridiculous 47 minutes.
  • From Bristol it is 120 miles and takes a very manageable 2 hours.
  • From London it is 80 miles and takes a very do-able 2 hours.
  • From Sheffield it is 95 miles and takes a measly 1 and half hours.
  • From Penzance it is a long way – but it’s well worth it!

Balancing Emissions

We’ve been balancing our unavoidable emissions for over a decade – most of which are travel related. We paid for a wind farm in India, and regular donations to tree-planting via our partner at Onboard: Earth. Please follow the link or download the app to make a tiny donation of £1- £3 to support regeneration around the world. Also, be sure to encourage your friends!
