Climate action doesn’t happen in isolation from the rest of life. Housing, food, transport, energy, health, poverty, and inequality are all deeply connected — and any meaningful response to the climate crisis has to begin there.

This participatory talk explores what community-led climate action can look like in real life, especially in areas facing deprivation and systemic inequality. Drawing on lived experience and grassroots organising, we’ll explore how trust-building, local leadership, and collective action can create change that is not only sustainable, but fair.

Together we’ll reflect on:

Why climate justice and social justice cannot be separated
What happens when communities shape solutions for themselves
How ordinary people can influence systems and power structures
What it means to create change that people can actually participate in

This is a conversational and reflective session rather than a lecture — a space for honest discussion about how we move towards futures that care for both people and planet.
