Thumpasaurus

In the beginning, there was THUMP.

Spontaneously combusting into creation at some point along the space-time-dance continuum, the musical group known as THUMPASAURUS has entertained, appetized, terrified and satisfied international audiences with their high production live shows, cinematic music videos, theatrical collaborations, late-night TV performances, and energy-packed albums, EPs, and singles ever since their big bang origin.

The collaborative brainchild of Lucas Tamaren, Henry Solomon, Paul Cornish, Henry Was, Logan Kane and Ben Benjamin, THUMPASAURUS is a circus of furious dance music, experimental earworms and hypnotic spectacle born in the eclectic DIY pop-up world of late-stage Los Angeles.

In their primordial form, THUMPASAURUS was a cosmic collision of music and film students experimenting with the outer limits of power point at the intersection of acid jazz and alt funk dance music. They grew to local notoriety from their outrageous house show performances and

hooked their fanbase with early singles like “Dance Like It’s Your Life”, an irresistible, upbeat funky threat/celebration of the high stakes of existence.

In between their travels around the world and throughout the known/unknown universes, THUMPASAURUS has produced an extensive portfolio including three studio albums- The Book of Thump (2018), Thumpaverse (2021), and Hard (2023); two live albums- Live at the Echo (2022) and Gas Cheaper Here (2024); 18 music videos and short films; several EPs and singles; an online TV series and more.

Recently THUMPASAURUS ventured to the legendary Sonic Ranch recording studios in Tornillo, TX where they are rumored to have been working on a future album as well as a documentary film about the band featuring behind the scenes footage from their time creating the record.
