Mr Switch

Mr Switch, aka Anthony Culverwell, is one of the UK’s most accomplished and versatile DJs. A four-time World DJ Champion, seven-time UK Champion, and the first DJ ever to perform at the BBC Proms, he’s achieved more than most could dream of.

Originally known as DJ Switch, he burst onto the global stage in 2008 by winning the DMC Battle for World Supremacy at just 19. He defended the title for three consecutive years—an unprecedented feat. After rebranding as Mr Switch, he returned in 2014 to claim the DMC World DJ Champion crown once more.

Constantly pushing the boundaries of turntablism, Mr Switch leapt into the classical world with Gabriel Prokofiev’s Concerto for Turntables. Featuring a DJ soloist scratching orchestral sounds—strings, brass, percussion—it bridges hip-hop and classical in electrifying style. His Proms debut in 2011 made history, and he’s since performed the piece over 70 times in 20 countries.

Yet Mr Switch isn’t just about technique—he’s a master entertainer. He’s lit up stages worldwide, from underground clubs to festivals like Bestival, Shambala, and Glastonbury. He’s collaborated with a wide range of artists and performed in an A-to-Z of countries.

A true original, Mr Switch dazzles with scratch wizardry, musical range, and fearless innovation.
