Welcome to The Craft Area – Shambala’s hub of hands-on creativity! Dive into a world where you can carve, dye, weave, paint, hammer, squidge, stitch and sculpt your way to pure Craftopia, always using recycled or sustainable materials.

Year after year, you’ll find an ever-changing mix of makes: spoon carving, natural dyeing, botanical painting, clay goddess making, driftwood creatures, feltwork, forging, glass mosaics, water marbling, leather craft and plenty more. Whether you fancy a mindful moment or a full-on DIY adventure, there’s something for every pair of hands.

Workshops usually run until around 5pm each day. Some are drop-in, others need a quick booking – so wander over, chat to our lovely craft folk, and they’ll point you in the right direction.

Please note that some sessions carry a small additional fee for materials, but the feeling of creating something from scratch? Absolutely priceless.
