BITEZ is a British Jamaican-born Nigerian singer, rapper and poet from Manchester who rebelliously blends hip hop, pop and R&B with witty spoken word. Her smoky vocals add a jazzy twist to her tracks.
BITEZ is a multi-award-winning artist and poet. Often her work explores self belief, dreams, empowerment and love. BITEZ’s songs contain cinematic storytelling which often touch on the fragility of life and the importance of authenticity.
In 2022, Marco Sebastiano Alessi of Sounds of Life Magazine called BITEZ an “inventive polymath,” her creative contributions to Manchester earned her the title of Manchester Young Creative of The Year by the Culture Awards 2021.
She creates dreamy, fun and spiritually uplifting music to highlight identity and politics whilst breaking out of the straitjacket of genre. Her poetry has won an Eric Gregory Award 2023. BITEZ has been supported by MOBO Help Musicians, Turtle Bay, Youth Music, Factory International, The White Pube and Art Council England.
Since beginning 2021, she has performed at Glastonbury, YES Manchester, Fuel Cafe, Band on The Wall, Blues Kitchen, The Met, The British Museum, Manchester Jazz Festival and SFTOC.
BITEZ will be performing songs from her debut EP Vintage Destiny and BITEZ’s upcoming EP ‘Eat My Heart’.
