Mark Grist is a multi-award-winning poet, battle rapper and children’s author based in Peterborough. A former Peterborough Poet Laureate, Chief Bard of the Fens and Edinburgh Fringe Slam Champion, Mark has also been honoured twice at the International Webby Awards. His poetry and rap videos have amassed over 80 million views online.
You might recognise him from Channel 4’s Mr Drew’s School for Boys, Mark Grist Battles the World (Red Bull), or from one of his viral poetry or rap battle videos that have been shared across the internet.
After a year touring schools around the world, Mark returns to Shambala with a brand new set—featuring poems originally intended for young people that spiralled slightly out of control and are now definitely not suitable for the classroom.
