Mother Dubber

Mother Dubber has been digging records since 2001 and considers her vinyl collection an anthropological archive. Her aim is to find parallels between the great African traditions and the modern sound expressions of the diaspora – starting from the West-African disco records inherited from her father, to the contemporary electronic music productions that dominated her childhood.

On this occasion, it is a collection of carefully hand-picked 80s digital and early dancehall that will be on the menu. The result will be a combination of humour, lament, protest, sexual politics and joy all packed within a collection of 45s, also incorporating dub-inspired signals and sirens.
