Rebecca Tantony is a poet known for her raw, lyrical storytelling that cuts to the core of what it means to be human.
A light through life’s messier moments, she is the author of three poetry and flash nonfiction collections. Over the years her work has been published in Magma and Mslexia, featured on Radio Four and her projects Seventeen (2021), Singing My Mother’s Song (2019) and All The Journeys I Never Took (2017) were funded by the Arts Council, U.K.
She has read her writing in numerous venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, Southbank Centre, in Romania, Turkey, Sweden, South Africa and America.
Pianist Silvertortoise has worked with artists as diverse as Hang Massive, DJ Krust, Paul Oakenfold, Tristan, Giolì, Bollywood legend KK, world-renowned beatboxer and multi-vocalist MC Xander, and dubstep genius Culprate. His compositions and session work total more than 3.5 million views on YouTube and 3 million streams on Spotify.
For Shambala, Rebecca and Silvertortoise will be uniting once more, with improvised musical accompaniment, offering a debut poetry set that explores the concept of time, generational lessons and navigating parenthood. A heartfelt poetic journey scored to a transcendental soundtrack.
