Hailing from Bristol, SoundGyal Saf is making her mark on the UK underground dance scene. This 22-year-old DJ and producer began her journey at the age of 14. She soon progressed to producing her own dubplates, developing a distinctive sound that would become her calling card.
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdowns, Saf became the youngest DJ to perform at Bristol’s renowned Love Saves The Day Festival in 2021, aged just 18. Two years later, at 20, she secured a valuable year-long mentorship with Hospital Records, a leading Drum and Bass label.
Saf’s growing talent has earned her spots at venues and events across the UK and beyond. Her performance roster includes respected names such as E1, Dreamland, Motion, Lakota, Sony, BBCRadio 1Xtra, Kool FM. Whilst further notable performances at Metrik Presents AWAKE at Outernet, Hospitality on the Beach and Hospitality in the Woods. With each performance, Saf continues to captivate audiences and solidify her place in the music scene.
Whilst balancing her university studies, Saf demonstrates dedication to her craft. Her commitment to developing her skills as an artist is evident in the energy she brings to each performance. Recently, she has been teasing her remixes on SoundCloud, which have been gaining significant traction amongst listeners.
Her reputation has already led to collaborations with known artists in the scene, including Dread MC, Capo Lee, Slay, and many others, further cementing her position as one to watch in the coming years.
