Welcome to our community! Shambala is committed to being a safe, prosperous place to trade and in being as environmentally sustainable as possible. We have reduced the carbon footprint of the festival by over 90%, achieved 100% renewable power, become meat and fish free and eradicated disposable plastic bottles, drinks cups, bar cups and hot drinks cups!
There are some key processes and criteria that all traders must comply with in order to trade with us. Failure to meet these criteria may mean you are not signed off as ‘ready to trade’ following onsite Readiness to Open checks and may result in you forfeiting your pitch, so please read this guide in its entirety to make sure you understand what is required.
We want to celebrate you and your food and to inspire our audience using your delicious food so we feature all traders on our festival app and engage our audience with your food stories and recipes they can cook in advance. We also make every effort to provide a clear opportunity for you to trade and have a dedicated onsite team in place to support your stay.
Before the festival we are here to help with operational enquiries (traders@shambalafestival.org) or food sustainability and procurement questions (charlie@shambalafestival.org) so do reach out in advance with any questions.
We understand that meeting our criteria can mean changing your usual methods of procurement so have provided a Recommended Suppliers List of local and seasonal producers operating to a high standard who we know will deliver to the festival. Please tap into this list if you are struggling to source goods or contact charlie@shambalafestival.org with any queries.
We hope you will enjoy working with us!
