Medical & First Aid Staff (NOW CLOSED)


Come and join our professional and friendly team, providing excellent care to festival-goers – and taking part in the festival during your down time! We mostly see minor injuries but also have resuscitation and monitoring facilities. 

This year the medical tent will run the same as previous years, however it will be under the umbrella of GCSMedical LTD who were our ambulance providers last year.

We are ready to welcome a range of allied professionals with emergency care experience including Doctors, RGNs, RMNs, RCNs, Paramedics, Technicians, ECA’s, HCA’s and First Aiders (full 2-3 day First Aid qualification by recognised provider). We also have positions for Radio Controllers and Reception Staff.  

Doctors – We would like you to be post foundation doctors, ideally with experience in emergency medicine or pre-hospital/event medicine. We have a combination of GP trained doctors working in the minors/majors side and emergency medicine trained doctors working in majors/resus with a senior doctor supervising all areas.

Nurses – RGN/RCN’s you must be two years post qualification and ideally have experience in acute or emergency medicine, critical care , practice nursing or hold a nurse practitioner qualification.  For RMN’s community or crisis team experience is essential.

Medical Professionals you MUST check with your insurance provider such as MDU, MPS, RCN etc, that you are covered for event work.  You can tell them there is consultant cover on site 24/7 which usually means you do not have to pay extra.

First aiders will be covered by our own indemnity policy.

 The medical provision is from 08:00 on Wednesday 21st August until 20:00hrs Monday 26th August.  The medical facility runs in 12hr shift patterns – 08.00-20.00 and 20.00-08.00, with some half shifts available

Each shift will have a Medical Manager, GP, ED Doctor, Nurse Team Leader, RGNs, RMN or RCN, and First Aiders. In addition to this there is a paramedic team(s) and a technician team. Supporting roles are Radio Controllers and Reception Staff. For further information on roles and responsibilities please click on the position you are interested in. 

It is compulsory for all Medical Team members to attend a medical team briefing. 

Briefings will be held in the medical tent at 20:00hrs on Wednesday 21st and at 16:00hrs on Thursday 22nd August. It is ESSENTIAL therefore that members of the Medical Team are on site by 15:00hrs on Thursday 22nd August, except by special arrangement. 

Please note that applying is a commitment to being available for the duration of the festival so please book your annual leave requests in to avoid disappointment. 

Supporting documents required (uploads) with your application in order for it to be processed: 

  • Official photographic ID e.g. passport or driver’s licence. 
  • Headshot with plain background for your festival ID laminate – this can be taken on your phone but needs to be a jpeg clearly showing your face. 
  • Valid first aid certificate, if applicable. 
  • CVs if applying as a doctor

Ticket information and shift options: 


  1. 12hr shift = 2 tickets & 1 vehicle pass 
  1. 2 x 12hr shifts = Family ticket (2 adults + up to four children) & 1 vehicle pass 



  1. 12hr shift = 1 ticket & 1 vehicle pass 
  1. 2 x 12hr  = 2 tickets + 2 child tickets & 1 vehicle pass 


Radio Controllers/Reception Staff 

  1. 12hr + 6hr shift = 1 ticket & 1 vehicle pass 
  1. 2 x 12hr shifts = 2 tickets + 2 child tickets & 1 vehicle pass

Once your applications are received with all the necessary uploads and your qualifications have been checked you will be informed whether you have been accepted and sent further information and FAQ’s regarding your tickets, shifts and meal allocations.
