Our teeny, tiny, families-only event, Starry Village, takes place from 25th-28th July 2024 on a beautiful family farm in Kentchurch, Herefordshire, complete with rolling meadows, ancient woodlands, a dramatic mountain backdrop and even a family of friendly pigs.
Unlike most family-friendly festivals, Starry Village is for families ONLY, meaning you really can relax whilst the kids roam free.

DROP YOUR ANCHOR & RAISE YOUR TANKARDS, FOR THE OLD TIME SAILORS!
You’re all invited to join the crew of the Old Time Sailors, for a night of foot stomping, dancing and singing! Set sail to the 19th century, where this motley crew and their plethora of traditional and eclectic instruments will take you back to the time of clashing tankards, and nautical debauchery. Sing and along like a drunken sailor as the band perform centuries old folk and shanty songs! This lot SMASHED it at Shambala 2023 so we’re absolutely buzzing to have them setting sail for Starry Village!
BUILD-YOUR-OWN-VILLAGE WITH THE WOODLAND TRIBE!
Woodland Tribe’s philosophy is all about letting children take control of their own play space. It is hard to describe the sight and sound of 50+ children, equipped with hammers and saws clambering over and furiously adding to a huge structure that they themselves have built. The result?! A ricketty, shonky, dynamic village, nestled in the trees, built by kids, for kids.
EVERY DAY OLYMPICS!
Your host with the most (who’ll most certainly be a familiar face to our Shambala crowd..!) will be putting Starry Village‘s families through their Olympian paces. From duvet cover changing challenges, to the tea tray carrying 200m, its time to put your clan’s skills to the test in our Everyday Olympics!
FUN & GAMES WITH THE TOTALLY AWESOME ‘SUPER PIRATES‘
Super Pirates are a total Shambala institution at this point, and they’ll be bringing their inimitable brand of chaotic goodness to Starry Village. This remarkable team of playworkers and actors specialise in creating rip-roaring high-seas high-jinx for kids and their grown ups. Expect giant inflatable rings, rocking dance offs, group games, sensory play, fancy dress, barrels of toys and an even bigger barrel of laughs!
COOKING UP A FIRESIDE FEAST WITH CHEF OLI & FRIENDS
Join Starry chef Oli and friends around the main fire on Saturday afternoon while they prepare and share super tasty seasonal foods with you and your family. Chef Oli has some serious credentials – having previously held the role of Development Chef for Josh Eggleton, based at Michelin-starred Pony & Trap (now known as The Pony, Chew Valley) – so we’re very lucky indeed, to have him on board, sharing his wisdom! Drop in any time and find out how to experience cooking on the fire with very little effort. We’ll be salting and dressing raw vegetables, scorching over the fire, cooking things in their own smoke, charring in hot, salted pans and hanging tasty bits and bobs over flames for you all to enjoy, learn and share..
..AND A GINORMOUS WATERSLIDE!
Our favourite fun-makers, the Super Pirates, are bringing their splash-tastic TWENTY FIVE METRE LONG waterslide. It’s going to be slippy, slidey and very, very silly…
